His parents, Joseph and Tamou, and grandparents Saada and Moshe, distilled Mahia, a unique Jewish alcoholic beverage; following the Jewish exodus from the region, his dad became legendary for being the last Jew to remain in Taznakht. Individually, and as a couple, Dorit and David have traveled to Singapore, Venezuela, Panama, London, Montreal, Chile, Brazil, Canada, Mexico, Israel, Romania, France, Spain, as well as the Napa Valley, Los Angeles, Orlando, Miami, Washington D.C., New England, Pennsylvania, Virginia and New York. About StilltheOne Distillery in Port Chester, NY

Located along the banks of the Byram River in Port Chester, NY, our distillery is situated in a manufacturing district, surrounded by welders, metal fabricators and commercial fishing vessels. This hard-working environment inspires us to do our best every day. We are the first distillery in Westchester County, NY since prohibition and the world’s first distillery to make gin distilled from honey.

The Heart of our distillery is the fermentation and distillation equipment.

About Standard Spirit Distillery in Brooklyn
Distilled from a high rye thin mash with local NY rye and corn in small batches at our Brooklyn distillery. Fermenting on the grain and then distilling with fresh grains suspended in the column make for a unique buttery corn and spicy rye taste that distinguishes our moonshine to rival any whiskey. Bottling only a very selective Heart Cut portion brings you face-to-face with the complex grain flavor, broad body, and smooth taste. No swill! Drink it straight or in a classic cocktail and come to know where great whiskey comes from, the finest moonshine.

Absinthe Our distillery is founded on experimenting with wormwood spirits. When we started home distilling in Bushwick, wormwood was an illusive banned ingredient, best known for its use in traditional absinthe. On our first distillation we fell in love with more than the myth, the subtle lucid wakeful feel was unlike any other spirit. Unknown to us at the time, absinthe with wormwood was nearing the end of a century old ban. Over a decade of refining our home distilling methods we are releasing a one-of-a-kind wormwood spirit that departs from traditional absinthe, our Oak & Rye Wormwood – a wormwood rye. Made from fermenting a rye and corn thin mash on the grain, single distilling with a wormwood backset through our copper ‘grain in column’ still, and finally stave aging with American and French oak. You end up with a familiar but new taste for what a rye and a wormwood spirit can be. Steering away from traditional herbal absinthe, we’ve dropped the added sugar, anise, licorice, and other herbs – just keeping the wormwood, so you get the feel of an absinthe with the taste of rye.       standardspirit.com

About Kings Country DIstillery
Kings County Distillery is New York City’s oldest operating whiskey distillery, the first since prohibition. Founded in 2010, Kings County makes handmade moonshine, bourbon, and other whiskeys out of the 117-year-old Paymaster Building in the Brooklyn Navy Yard.  We use New York grain and traditional distilling equipment to make distinctive spirits.  Our whiskeys have won numerous awards from the American Distilling Institute, the American Craft Spirits Association, and have been praised by the New York Times, Wine & Spirits Magazine, GQ, The New Yorker and other sources.  We only distill whiskey for our label and we never buy bulk whiskey from any other source.

First located in a 325 square-foot room in East Williamsburg, Kings County began as the smallest commercial distillery in the country, with five 24-liter stainless steel stills making whiskey seven days a week, 16 hours a day.  In 2012, we moved into the Paymaster Building in the historic Brooklyn Navy Yard, just steps from legendary site of the Brooklyn Whiskey Wars of the 1860s and the former distillery district of the waterfront.  With traditional copper whiskey stills fabricated in Scotland, wooden fermenters were built locally by Isseks Brothers, and a corn and barley patch at a small farm onsite, the distillery is a model of sustainable and traditional whiskey production and one of the preeminent craft distilleries in the United States.  We offer tours and tastings every Saturday.  kingscountydistillery.com

About Gristmill Distillers
We are located in the heart of the High Peaks of the Adirondacks. Keene, New York is where we call home, but you can find our spirits all over.
Combining our love of the mountains and our love of good whiskey made perfect sense when setting out to create spirits of our own. A few distillery tours almost two years ago had us saying, “Hey, we could do this.” Maybe it was the bourbon talking, but it sounded like a good idea at the time, and we ran with it. Upstate New York has a rich agricultural heritage, so it was only fitting to bring a farm-to-bottle operation to Keene.
We strive for quality, working to make smooth, classic spirits that can be sipped straight—but that are just as good in your favorite mixed libation with a dash of this and a garnish of that. We source locally, we mash locally, and we distill locally. It takes some time and elbow grease to build a distillery, and even more time to craft and age whiskies and brandies that are worthy of a dram or two (or ten.) We’ve committed to the long haul though, and we’re proud to literally start from the ground up. Our water flows straight from a spring within a few paces of our front door, our corn is grown by Adirondack Organic Grains in nearby Essex, and our brandy apples are grown, picked, and pressed fresh by Rulf’s Orchard, less than thirty-five miles down the road in Peru. Our barrels are made to order from U.S. Barrel, the oldest cooperage in the northeast and, luckily for us, only a couple of towns over in Wilmington. We’re a New York state farm distillery; we’re homegrown and our products are too. www.gristmilldistillers.com

About KAS Distillers
KAS was born in Brooklyn to a Lithuanian family and reared in New York. For many years he enjoyed making his own secret family krupnikas recipe for holidays and special events. In 2013, he decided it was time to share his krupnikas with the world and started KAS Spirits. KAS is created in the Hudson Valley town of Mahopac in Putnam county New York. It is bottled and labeled by hand. Its a true craft spirit: a family gift offered to the local community and beyond. The first bottles were purchased and sent with pride by hand to bars and select retailers in the summer of 2014. Krupnikas is a sweet alcoholic drink that is popular in Lithuania as well as Poland (known there as “Krupnik”). Legend has it that Benedictine monks created Krupnikas in the 1500s. Made with sweet honey and warm spices, it became the drink of choice in the Polish and Lithuanian communities as a way to celebrate holidays, weddings, and even just the everyday. Though the Soviets shut down production for many years, krupnikas lived on through closely guarded family recipes, which have been passed down through the generations.
